Looking back

This morning, as I was looking back at photos, (looking for one of Appy, the Appaloosa), I found pictures from the last Impact Mission Trip I attended, in 2005.

As I looked at the pictures, I was feeling a bit melancholy, I looked, happy. Sometimes I miss the woman I used to be. So much less responsibility, younger, full of hope.

Then, I got the update, that VF1 had posted the newest devotional…

About guarding our tongues…

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

James 3:3‭-‬6 NIV

I realized that I have grown so much. I am learning how to guard my tongue… I am no where near perfect at it… but God isnt finished with me yet.

A new song…

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
Psalm 40:3 NIV

Lord, so many VLCS staff members are hurting… make me aware…. show me heart drops, in order to minister to them. Thank you for the song you have given me for your always present, even when I don’t feel it, spirit. May others see you, in me, and come to know you as their personal Lord and Savior.

Pray, about all things…

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not treat prophecies with contempt reject every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:12‭-‬18‭, ‬20‭, ‬22‭-‬24 NIV

God is moving….I can feel Him.

Last week, I was in Phoenix for my residency. I was sad and frustrated on Tuesday. That evening, I prayed a simple prayer that I would have eyes to see what God wants me to see. Sure enough, the next day, He flooded my heart with a loneliness the other person was experiencing.

Today. I spent quite a bit of time on chapter 3. The example was, what I thought, anyway, spot on! I left at 1230, to check on Roxi. I then left for Akers. When I went to upload my deliverble, I couldn’t find it anywhere! Mom and Dan came for dinner, after wars, I went to the office to see if I could find it. I couldn’t. I came home and uploaded my assignment, without the last 6 hours of work. On the way home, I prayed that God would show me where it was. After I uploaded the older version, I found it! I was able to email it to Dr. Maul. Now, I sit here, amazed at how God answers prayers. I need to get serious about paying…

  • Miranda and Deven….
  • Craig… especially our relationship….
  • Steve….peace and Joy
  • Our meeting tomorrow.
  • That I wont be exhausted. Joy in all circumstances

Thank you Jesus, for the victories, regardless of the size.
