If we choose to make a difference in the world, we can, if we start with ourselves.
This song has so many implications for life, but as I sang it during chapel at residency, it resonated with the dissertation process. I can do all things in Christ who gives me strength!

Need to remind myself that morning runs feel GREAT!
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John 16 NIV
I am not sure what this picture is. Random pictures my phone took. Before I read this, I was thinking about friends, looking for proprty….. have I asked God for property? With a house that can host people? I have, but I also want God’s will, because I want his blessing and his joy. Maybe I come from a mentality of only being able to ask for one thing…and the one thing that would really bring me joy is my kids knowing the Lord….we love the peoperty, but it’s a lot of work…. lord, please give us clarity….
Beautiful evening for a run!

Great devotional…. Spend time counting your blessings, not airing your complaints.
Today’s reading was on the parable of the lost son. My heart jumped with joy for a moment, as I read bout the father running out to the lost son. I pray I will be able to do that with my children. I can identify with the Father, in the desire to give to my children. I can also understand the heart ache when they are away, and the abundance of joy when they return.
Lord Jesus, draw their hearts back to you, that they would receive your joy for eternity.
