Got peace? because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

Jesus Came to Guide Us into the Way of Peace

I believe that peace is one of the most important benefits and greatest blessings God has given us. However, in the busyness of rushing around, we often feel anything but peaceful. But it doesn’t need to be that way.

Luke 1:79 says that one of the things God sent Jesus to do is to guide us “into the way of peace.” As believers we have the wonderful privilege of walking in God’s supernatural peace, regardless of how busy we may be or what is going on around us.

I lived the first forty years of my life without the blessing of peace – I was miserable. I finally came to a point of being so hungry for peace that I was willing to work with God to make whatever changes were necessary in order to have it. Thankfully, I now enjoy a life of peace that often passes understanding. I am able to walk in the path of peace during the storms of life, not just when storms don’t exist.

Have you made pursuing peace a priority? God wants you to. Follow the Holy Spirit into the peace that is rightfully yours in Christ.

Prayer Starter: God, thank You for sending Jesus to ‘direct and guide’ my feet into Your peace. I receive Your great blessing of peace for my life.

Thank you! The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Thank you Jesus, that you are patient worn all of us.   So many on my heart. … fill me work your spirit that I would show the same patience for my family….our students, staff and parents.  Yes, I know what happens when you pray rhat.

A GOOD Word… When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth— everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf. All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Which of their gods foretold this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say, “It is true.” “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord , “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the Lord , and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord , “that I am God. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”

This Joyce Meyer devotional was perfect….I woke up this morning feeling hopeful…. even though so many are not….
We’re All Fighting the Good Fight

I believe that one of the lies we often face is that we are the only one fighting against the devil. The devil likes to isolate us and make us think that we are the only one going through what we are going through.

The truth is, we are all fighting. You’re not the only one who gets weary. You’re not the only one who gets tired of standing and resisting Satan’s lies and even resisting your own feelings.

I have to fight the good fight of faith just like you do. And there are countless other believers standing with you against the enemy.

Best of all, God is with you every step of the way. Isaiah 43:2 promises that we’ll make it through trying times because God Himself goes with us. When we go through the waters, we won’t drown, and when we go through the fire, we won’t be burned, all because He is with us.

So be encouraged. Press on. God will give you strength and wisdom for every battle you face.

Prayer Starter: God, thank You for being with me and for all Your followers who are also fighting against the enemy. I won’t believe the lie that says I am alone. You are faithful and always with those in the body of Christ.
